Background: Vaginal yeast Infections are a global health problem for women at reproductive age. Aim of the study: to evaluate the effect of instructional guidelines on sexual function among women with vaginal yeast infection. Design: Aquasi- experimental design was used. Setting: The study conducted at Helwan general hospital in gynecological clinic. Sample: A Purposive sample was used to conduct the study included 60 married women. Tools: four tools were used, Tool. I: A structured Interviewing questionnaire includes Part1, General characteristic data, Part 2 Obstetrical history Part 3, Knowledge assessment questionnaire, Tool.II: Reproductive women health practice practices. Tool. III: Female sexual function index (FSF). Tool TV: Follow-up women regarding vaginal yeast infection: Results: more than two third of women had satisfactory knowledge post the guidelines, than the pre instructions. The majority of the studied women had incompetent practice, in pretest; while about two third had competent practice in the post test, studied women regarding women’s sexual function the majority satisfied sexual function post guidelines than pre instructional, follow-up of the recurrence of vaginal yeast infection in women with vaginal infection more than half perform follow-up, post guidelines than pre Conclusion: Instructional guidelines had positive effect on sexual function among women with vaginal yeast Infection. The results of the current study supported by the study hypothesis. The results of the current study supported by the study hypothesis. Recommendation: Development education session for risk factor recurrent bacterial vaginitis among women in reproductive age.
